Angling Festival

Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark

On Friday I attended the launch of Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark in the Slieve Russell hotel. This Geopark takes in numerous sites throughout Cavan and Fermanagh many of which are open to the public. All of the sites provide a variety of interests including geology, archaeology, history, folklore, wildlife and activities such as walking and cycling. This development will create a new interest and a new tourist for Cavan /Fermanagh and surrounding areas. Eonish Lodge is an ideal location to stay and enjoy all this Geopark has to offer and more.

Greetings for 2009

 

 Here at Eonish lodge we would like to wish you all a happy new year. We are looking forward to 2009 and hopefully the return of our regular guests and off course those of you that have not yet experienced a holiday in Ireland.
Booking are coming in and, fishing is still the back bone of our business and what better way to get away from stress than a few hours along a lake or river and watching that line. For those fishermen that know the area, the road beyond the cattle grids on the Eonish shore has been developed by the Fishery Board and this will give easier access to this area. It is also has made it a lovely place to go for a walk.  

We have just left Christmas behind and are now seeing all the gardening and painting to be done, but that is what keeps us motivated as we prepare for the year ahead.
The new website for Killeshandra Lakeland Holidays is almost ready to go live and I will give the link to this site as soon as possible.
