Two Pike angler from Switzerland stayed in our self catering last week. They had a good weeks fishing and caught 64 pike and were really delighted with their catch. Weather was very good all week and they fished every day from the boat, started most days at 10 am and finished at about 5.30 pm. Two happy anglers going home tomorrow.
Killeshandra has been selected by Fáilte Ireland to be one of a few ANGLING AMBASSADOR towns in the country. This is good news for Killeshandra and means that Killeshandra will be branded as a ‘centre of excellence’ for angling. This is great news and I am looking forward to see what plans are for the area and how it is going to be developed.

Sounds like they had a great time. Always wonderful to read about people who are passionate about fishing on the other side of the pond. Maybe one day I should plan a trip over there. You guys have better beer anyway.
