Failte Ireland met with the people of Killeshandra today to discuss the aim of Killeshandra providing an “Anglers Welcome”. The aim of this project is to work with local operators and services to realise the full potential of the area, as an angling centre offering the full angling holiday experience.
In the next few weeks a series of workshops will be run to train the different sections of the community to the needs of our visiting anglers and their families. We, the accommodation providers, will work closely with the fishery board, fishing guides, angling club, restaurants, pubs and other services in Killeshandra and surrounding area to provide an angling destination where anglers will want to return year after year. This project will aim to enhance the area for all visitors and aims to make the area a place where visitors will have a truly memorable and enjoyable stay.
