Angler’s welcome workshop

The first “Anglers Welcome” workshop in Killeshandra took place today. The Theme of the workshop was “Servicing your Angling Customer”. Those attending were made up of accommodation providers, fishing tackle shops proprietors, publicans, retail and restaurants proprietors. The enthusiasm of these people of Killeshandra to make sure anglers have a good experience and enjoy their stay in the area was encouraging.

The Northern Regional Fisheries Board spoke with us about the importance having up to date angling information for the angler and being aware of the needs of the angler. Failte Ireland also issued a charter to ensure each premises welcomes anglers and ensures that their stay is a comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience.

We also had a presentation on good customer care and the necessity of providing the visitor with a service beyond their expectations. By working together we know we can provide the angler with a consistent service of high quality that we will want to deliver and the angler will benefit from.

Our next workshop is on “Marketing / Promotion skills” and takes place on the 19th May.
